CLOSED – Crumiller P.C. is hiring! Office/Legal Assistant

We are looking for an entry-level office/legal assistant. We are a small, dynamic litigation firm whose primary focus is fighting gender and pregnancy discrimination in the workplace. We also represent small businesses, and tenants both commercial and residential, in litigation.

You will assist with case management and administrative tasks, including printing/ mailing correspondence and court papers, answering phones, ordering office supplies, calendaring, and assembling motions and document productions. I am a firm believer in fostering growth; if you demonstrate the aptitude and interest, there is room to take on tasks like managing office procedures and/or substantive drafting.

The most important thing is that you are nice, and secondly, that you are sharp. My team thinks and moves fast, and we need somebody who can keep up. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount (we go overboard to keep clients in the loop). I am a proud feminist, progressive, working mom, and my passion is what drives me. If you can’t get on board with that, then we probably won’t be a good fit.

Salary DOE; health insurance available.

Crumiller PC is dedicated to practicing what we preach. Study after study has shown that even the most well-intentioned employers are influenced by their implicit biases. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume, in a single PDF document, via email only to, with the subject “No Dumb Mistakes”. Replace your name, wherever it appears in the PDF (including your email address), with a four digit number, and include the number in the body of your email. This will enable us to anonymously screen your application. No calls or paper applications please.

I’m super grateful that many of you have asked in the past how to recommend somebody without compromising the anonymous system. If you want to put in a good word for somebody, you can write to with whatever you want to say, using the person’s real name. My assistant will redact and make a note on the resume or attach your email before adding it to my pile for review.. 🙂
